Types of projects received

IMPACT Growth was looking for projects in four verticals: Smart Agrifood, Smart Cities, Smart Content and Smart Manufacturing. Also projects that are already using or willing to adopt FIWARE as a core part of their technology roadmap.

The ideal projects type IMPACT Growth Consortium is looking for are high growth projects with an already existing market footprint (TRL 8 or 9) with some investment on place and looking for additional investment for scaling their business globally and looking to open a new territory in less than 6 months.

Below you can find the applications received by sector, by use of FIWARE and by investment on place.

It is important to highlight that 2% of the applications aren’t in any of the 4 sectors addressed by the project so they are not eligible. Also the 2 % of the proposals neither are using FIWARE nor are willing to use it, so they are again not eligible. Regarding investment, almost 21% of the proposals didn’t have investment on place, so, they are also not eligible either.

As you can see, the most competitive sector is Smart Content with more than 40% of the applications received, followed by Smart Cities, Smart Agrifood and Smart Manufacturing. More than 20% of the proposals received are already using FIWARE. Finally, regarding investment, most of the proposals have already received investment from 100-500K and 7% more than 1 million.

We want to thank to all the applicants for participating in this open call. We wish you all the best for the evaluation phase. As you know, the winners will be announced on June 21st, after the Jury Day that will take place in Madrid.

And remember, if you are not a beneficiary this time you can apply to our next open call that will be launched in September 2017!
